RARE EVENT, REPUBLICAN ELECTED OFFICIALS ENDORSE CANDIDATE IN PRIMARY

ATLANTA - Today, in a rare event, John Turner, candidate for Fulton County District Attorney, received an unprecedented number of endorsements by elected officials in the Republican Primary for District Attorney.

"In a hotly contested primary, it is very rare to have so many elected officials endorsing a candidate, said Ron Jackson, Former County Republican Chairman.  "Johns credentials are so far above the rest and he is the only logical choice in the primary."

Johns experience sets him apart from anyone else in the race. He has over 27 years as a trial attorney, 17 years as Assistant District Attorney and is a former Assistant U.S. Attorney. He has over 250 jury trials with a 95% conviction rate and he is a Major in the Georgia National Guard where he serves as a Military Judge and Assistant Judge Advocate.  John is a life long resident and has focused the majority of his life serving the citizens of Fulton County. He continues to hone his trial skills by obtaining his LLM in Litigation from Emory University and he lectures internationally on legal proceedings.

John has received the endorsement of both the Atlanta Journal and Constitution editorial boards, which stated "Turner has excellent credentials for this post. He has an impressive grasp of the District Attorneys office operations and the law."

John has received endorsements from such distinguished elected officials as:

Representative Bob Irvin (Minority leader in the Georgia General Assembly)
Representative Dorothy Felton
Representative Tom Campbell
Representative Mark Burkhalter
Fulton County Commissioner Bob Fulton
Former Fulton County Chairman Ron Jackson
Former Republican State Chairman Bob Shaw
Alpharetta Mayor Chuck Martin
Alpharetta City Council members Debbie Gibson, Jim Matoney and Brandon Beach
Fulton County School Board member Katie Reeves, and many others.

"When John Turner is elected as our new District Attorney, he wont embarrass us as Paul Howard did during the Ray Lewis trial", said Representative Mark Burkhalter when asked about his support of John Turner.
